The Citrus County Health Department has grown from a one room office in 1950 to five buildings in 2007, from a staff of 4 to a staff of 188, currently serving over 126,000 people.
We hope you find our web page informative and helpful. We will continue to change with the times and to utilize the most up to date methods to better serve you, our customers.

· After changing diapers or cleaning up a child/adult who has gone to
the bathroom
· Before and after caring for a patient
· After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
· After handling garbage
· Before and after treating a cut or wound
· When your hands are visibly soiled
