Minority Health Web-Based Resource Directory
State Partnership Grant Program
Directory Overview
Our resource directory serves as a clearinghouse of information concerning health disparities areas, including HIV/AIDS, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, immunizations, infant and maternal health, and oral health. This directory also provides information regarding access to care, promising and best practices, cultural competency, grant funding and institutions of higher learning with health and medical programs.
The information provided in this directory are from state and national resources. This directory was created to assist community- and faith-based organizations, health care professionals, public health workers, professors, students, health advocates and the general public with obtaining information regarding minority health.
The Office of Minority (OMH) provides this resource directory as a tool to be utilized towards our journey to reduce, and eventually eliminate, health disparities among ethnic and racial populations in Florida.
Purpose
The resource directory is designed to be assessable and navigation friendly for the average person who seeks online health information. Given that the quality of health information should always be the first priority of any online information sources, the goal of the resource directory is to provide up-to-date and accurate information
that address relevant health and health care issues.
Goal
The ultimate goal of this site is to facilitate individuals in acquiring information and linking them to county, state, and federal resources from wide diverse fields of healthcare and health related issues.
The Web-Based Resource Directory was funded by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Minority Health through its State Partnership Grant Program (2005-2010).
