I chose the FL-EIS Program because of the
opportunities it offers through hands-on training and mentorship. By
providing a comprehensive two-year post-graduate training experience,
the FL-EIS Program trains future generations of public health
practitioners through a wide variety of projects in many different
settings. In addition, the mentorship aspect not only fosters personal
and professional development, but also illustrates the collaboration
that is important to successful public health outcomes. The amount of
knowledge I will gain in the field and from my mentors will only
broaden my public health and epidemiology knowledge.
