County Grant Information
For these county grants, provided under 401.113(2) (a), Florida Statutes, only the 67 Florida county governments are eligible.
Next County Government Grant Cycle -- 2011-2012. This will be a one payment process to county governments based on 12 months of traffic fine surcharge collections, as stipulated by 401.113(1), Florida Statutes, for the 12 months July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. The grant cycle will begin with a July, 2012, notification to the counties of the specific amounts for which they must apply.
We will provide additional details as we approach the beginning of this next grant cycle, or you may contact us at any time if you have any questions. We will adjust procedures as possible to assist individual counties.
Matching Grants
Activities May to July. The matching grant applications for 2011-2012 have been submitted through April. In May all applications will be reviewed and assigned numeric scores. In June, the results will be tabulated and final decisions made. We expect to issue official results by July, and will post them at this website.
Next matching grant opportunity (2012-2013). The next opportunity to submit grant applications to request funds should begin late this calendar year or early the next calendar year. The open time to submit applications usually lasts two to three months. The end of the process should be the same as this year, with final decisions by July, 2013.
